How to update KitKat 4.4 on Samsung Galaxy S3 mini

Things to remember

  • Make sure that your device is charged up to 80% or even you can follow those steps below in charging mode.
  • Take complete backup of your device.
  • This ROM is only for Galaxy S3 mini, Never try to install it on other device, this may damage your device.
  • Download and install Samsung USB Drivers/Kies on your computer.
  • Enable USB Debugging mode on your device, Go to Settings->Applications->Developer Option->check USB debugging.

How to update KitKat 4.4 on Samsung Galaxy S3 mini

1>. Connect your device with your computer and copy the downloaded file at the root directory of your memory card.
2>. Now disconnect your device from your PC and reboot your device in recovery mode by pressing Volume down+ Power + Home key altogether to enable recovery mode.
3>.  Now is the time to wipe all data, select Data Wipeout / Factory reset option and wipe the data. Again, select the Wipe Cache and then Dalvik cache from the Advanced Option.
4>. Then go back to the recovery menu and select the Install Zip from SD Card. Now navigate to the CM 11 copied file on your memory card build zip file and install it. Let the process to complete.
5>. Now repeat the same Step 4 and this time navigate to the Gaaps  placed on your device memory card.
6>. Go back to main menu and select reboot option.
7>. This time your device will take time to start because it has to initialize all the newly installed app and OS.

    ive been trying to do this all night, i download the two files and drag them into my sd card then follow all the steps, my phone is fully rooted with cf root and i wipe everything then get to the files and when i try and install them it says E: signature failure’ and i dont know what to do please help
